Tim has been working with GE HealthCare for 13 years. Tim has held various roles with the GEHC in the quality and regulatory organization as a Product Surveillance Specialist and Product Surveillance Lead Engineer for CT, PET, and Nuclear Medicine devices. 7 years ago Tim changed his career focus, joining the Global Services organization as a Lead Technical Instructor for Monitoring Solutions products.

As a subject matter expert in the servicing of GEHC Monitoring Solutions, he is excited to share his wealth of knowledge with the professionals at the NCBA.

Class Description

In this presentation, Tim will introduce you to the Carescape Patient Monitoring Network. During the sessions, we will explore these aspects of the:

Carescape Network segments (MC & IX)
Devices on the Carescape network
Data types and protocols
Connection types (dual wire, single wire, wireless)
Configuring the network connections of Carescape Devices
Network access of the Carescape Service Interface & Multi-monitor manager
Time synchronization
Basic troubleshooting tools and guidance

The presentation will include lecture, as well as hands-on activities to reinforce the concepts learned and improve technical skills in both the clinical engineering shop and the clinical environment.
