Speaker Bio

Damon Tripp – Damon began as a medical missionary in 1994. He was born and raised in the state of Oklahoma, attended a Christian school for most of his childhood and graduated Valedictorian of his class. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology and Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. While working at a large hospital in Austin, Texas he felt the call of God to leave his secular work and serve God full-time in missions work. His first mission’s work was in Kiev, Ukraine where he started a self-sustaining Christian clinic. He later moved to Mexico to work with pastors and missionaries and traveled extensively organizing medical personnel from the United States and Mexico to do campaigns throughout Mexico. He began a bi-lingual church, facilitated a children’s home, directed two youth camps (building one of them), and other ministries in Mexico. In 2019 Damon and his wife, Delight took their first year long furlough. During that time they attended a Samaritan’s Purse conference where they were called to be a part of this ministry. Damon’s lifelong desire to start hospitals around the world is being fulfilled in the Emergency Medical Response area of where he manages a team that sets up and runs Emergency Field Hospitals and supports medical programming around the world. Delight works for Samaritan’s Purse in the lab with World Medical Missions. Damon has been married to Delight for 35 years, has three children who live in two different countries, and has four granddaughters and one grandson. They live in the great state of North Carolina and are privileged to be a part of what God does around the world through Samaritan’s Purse.
