Speaker Bio
Dr Joseph Mazzola obtained his medical training at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. He earned a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Fayetteville State University and additionally he has received the designation of Certified Physician Executive (CPE) from the American Association of Physician Leaders. During his career he has practiced as a family physician as well as an academic physician. He has served in many healthcare leadership roles as a Program Director, Chief Academic Officer, and Chief Medial Officer. He is a Black Belt in LEAN/Six Sigma and has led training courses for many organizations on patient safety, leadership and team building with the goal of helping others learn to utilize core tools to improve outcomes and deliver high quality project results.
Class Description
This session is designed to equip the new and experienced leader with strategies to lead and build successful teams by incorporating principles and skill that shift from the “command and control” leadership style to a “trust and inspire” leadership style. Included in the session are interactive activities that reinforce the principles discussed.
